Ternzuola

We have both Liguran and Tuscan wines from Terenzuola, and the winemaker is Ivan Giuliani, whose vision is for a project without borders, one that revives the old region of Lunigiana, which covered northern Tuscany and southern Liguria. But yes, he does respect the legal boundaries of each DOC...From Cinque Terre we have his medium-sweet Sciacchetrà, made from Bosco with a touch of Albarolo and Vermentino. Bosco is a superb swett-wine grape, giving wines that taste of honey, spice and marzipan, pungent and pure. Viticulture is without chemicals, and the grape bunches are dried after picking for 80-100 days, either on rails or in trays. It's rare and expensive.
