Many of you will have heard that Prosecco was recently elevated to DOCG status. For all the fine print regarding production and labelling click here for a link to the DOCG’s surprisingly informative site. More to the point, however, is that we’ve just shipped the UK’s only bottle-fermented Prosecco that hasn’t been disgorged. We kicked off our Easter Tasting with Carlo Zucchetto’s Brut Zero. Because the wine isn’t disgorged it keeps a dusting of yeast in the bottom of the bottle and the wine therefore appears slightly cloudy after a few glasses have been poured. This certainly doesn’t distract from the wine itself which has zero residual sugar, is amazingly long and is perfect with canapés. This isn’t in our current brochure, so if you are interested in buying some, either email maria@winetraders.eu or call us on 01993 848777
